Debnix is an AI-powered inventory management tool for Shopify sellers. Debnix is available as a standalone web app at debnix.com and as an embedded app on the Shopify App Store. This policy applies to both versions. We believe in being direct and transparent about how we handle your data.

1. What We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up via debnix.com, we collect your email address, full name, and a password. Your password is hashed by Supabase Auth and we never see it in plain text. When you install from the Shopify App Store, your account is created automatically using your Shopify store credentials.

Shopify Store Data

When you install Debnix from the Shopify App Store or connect your store via OAuth, we sync:

  • Product names, SKUs, prices, and inventory levels
  • Order history from the last 90 days (quantities and revenue only)

We request read access and limited write access to your Shopify store for syncing inventory data. We do not modify your orders, customers, or store settings. We do not collect any customer personal information from your store.

Usage Data

We collect basic usage data such as pages visited and features used to understand how to improve the product. This data is not sold or shared with anyone.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide inventory predictions and stockout alerts
  • To calculate reorder points and ABC analysis
  • To generate AI-powered supplier email drafts
  • To sync your Shopify products and orders automatically
  • To send email notifications and weekly summaries if you have them enabled
  • To generate profitability reports and revenue analytics
We NEVER sell your data to anyone. We NEVER share your store data with other users. Your inventory data is yours alone.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate Debnix:

Supabase

Our database and authentication provider. Stores your account data and inventory data securely with encryption at rest and in transit. Supabase Privacy Policy

Shopify

We access your store via Shopify's official API using an access token you authorize. For Shopify App Store installations, Shopify also handles authentication via session tokens. You can revoke access at any time by uninstalling the app or disconnecting from Settings.

Shopify Billing

For merchants using Debnix through the Shopify App Store, subscriptions and payments are handled directly by Shopify. We never see or store your payment details. Shopify manages all billing, invoicing, and payouts.

Paddle

For merchants using the standalone version at debnix.com, Paddle is our payment processor and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, credit card data, taxes, and invoices. We never see your credit card details. Paddle Privacy Policy

Google Gemini (AI)

We send product names, stock levels, and sales data to Google Gemini to generate predictions and email drafts. We do not send customer personal information, access tokens, payment data, or any sensitive credentials to Gemini.

Resend

Our email delivery service for sending alerts, weekly summaries, and supplier reorder emails. Resend Privacy Policy

4. Data Security

  • All data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS
  • Database encryption at rest protects stored data
  • Row-level security ensures your data is completely isolated from other users
  • Shopify access tokens are stored server-side only and never sent to your browser
  • Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms
  • We conduct regular security reviews of our infrastructure

5. Data Retention

  • Your data is kept for as long as your account is active
  • If you uninstall Debnix from the Shopify App Store, all your data is permanently deleted
  • If you delete your account on debnix.com, all your data is permanently deleted
  • If you disconnect your Shopify store without deleting your account, your access token is immediately deleted but your synced data is retained so you can reconnect without losing history
  • After subscription cancellation on the standalone app, your data remains accessible for 30 days, then is permanently deleted

6. Your Rights

  • You can export your data at any time
  • You can delete your account or uninstall the app at any time
  • You can disconnect Shopify at any time from Settings
  • You can request a copy of all data we hold about you
  • You can request data correction or deletion by emailing us

If you are in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies only for authentication (keeping you logged in). The Shopify App Store version uses Shopify session tokens instead of cookies. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email and update the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
